We about us

In 1982 Eckhart Doehrer started his distribution company for optical components. Customer’s satisfaction, a high level of competence of DOEHRER's sales personnel and the individual service provided by the sales department are still the corner stones of the DOEHRER Elektrooptik GmbH located in Karlsbad near Karlsruhe/Black Forest. The constant analysis of the market and of the customer's requirements were decisive for the successful positioning of the company in the application areas of Lasers and Optics, optical telecommunication and display technology. DOEHRER's products are found in such diverse application as laser medicine, laser based sensors, optical data transmission, microscopes and defence technology.

Among others "firsts" DOEHRER Elektrooptik pioneered the marketing of the first laser based temperature measurement system from the USA, imported the first Chinese, nonlinear crystals to Germany and developed the market for the first reflective, ferroelectric micro LC-displays from England.

Well choosen cooperations with worldwide leading manufacturing partners form a solid basis for customer satisfaction. Partners are for example VLOC / USA, (with laser rods, retardation optics and optical components) or Forth Dimension Displays / UK, (the European pioneer for reflective LC-displays) as well as Fermionics Optotech / USA , (with InGaAs photodiodes for the telecom).

Our prime goals are individual problem solutions and cost effective products.

To assure this target also in the future DOEHRER Elektrooptik expands constantly its product portfolio and the sales team. Our coworkers are ready to support you - our valued customer - with their individual expertises.
